A walking contradiction... What you see isn’t what you get. To get to know the essence you need to open the book and read. An enigma; giving, selfless, conceited, arrogant, loner, author, friend, confidant, trainer, model, actor, and life coach. It really depends on your relationship with him. To someone who doesn’t know him or decides to judge the book by the cover; he is viewed as conceited, arrogant or even mean. Which is the exact opposite of who he is. He’s more of a shy introvert around those he doesn’t know or isn’t comfortable with. Get below the quiet exterior and you’ll find a heart that, to know is to love. He tries to live his life literally walking in love. He would give the shirt off his back to help. Raised by his mother, with no role model on what a man should be. He set out to be different than what he saw in the community. Men who abandoned their responsibilities to pursue whatever tickled their fancy was the norm. These men didn’t care about the damage caused by their selfish actions. He thought the road would be easy, but alas, it proved him wrong. Society had changed dramatically in a short time. People seemed to perceive his love as a weakness. Or perhaps they had not come across a person, who accepts them for them. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop, they tried to manipulate a gift to their advantage. Left alone most of the time, he started to set his pain to print. Never intending for anyone to read it. However, God had a different plan in mind. He would use DC’s pain to show the women; that there are men out there, who do feel profoundly deeper than they think. To reach out to the masses that don’t know how to get others to understand what they are dealing with or have dealt with. He simply wanted to help people on a larger scale.

Bus Stop

I saw u sitting at the bus stop. 

My God Ur beautiful & my jaw just dropped.  Girl, I almost wrecked my car, just trying 2 get a good look at U. 

Make a sharp turn around the block & get Ur name that’s what i’m gonna do. 

U gave me Ur name and i did the same.

Your Eyes

I could get lost in your eyes.

I know I may have said a lot that may be a bit overwhelming, please believe none of it is a lie.

I watched as you tried to decide on if you wanted to go thru with our first kiss.

Life is a blessing and meant to be enjoyed.  That’s one of life’s things that shouldn’t be missed.

 When you smile… did you know that your eyes light up.

The words I planned to say in my throat seem to get stuck.

♪ Another Lonely Xmas ♪

Inspired by the song of the same name by Prince listening on repeating thinking of the upcoming inevitable ending. This is one of my all time favorite Prince songs.  On the 1 year anniversary of his death, I share this with you all.  Words can’t express my sadness that I’ll never be able 2 go see him live again or that I’ll never be able to buy new music by him ever again. 😦  I’ll miss him till I join him on the other side.  Rest in paradise Prince!

It’s been a few nights since I spent another lonely Xmas.

I drink till I’m blind cuz it helps me to remember us.

Lonely Blue…

Lonely writer

I am the lonely writer living in a world surviving in my mind.

The catch, the era has passed & I’m lost in time.

Tryin 2 capture the memories of old.

Yet those days are long gone… sadly they can’t be bought or sold.

Where does this leave me 2day?  Right here in the modern age of impersonality.

Sittin on the stoop watching time pass where none of it seems real just an illusion of reality.

Lonely…

 

Sometimes I get lonely, what makes it worse I still want to be with you only. 

I still love you, but you’ve shown me I can’t anymore. 

I won’t let you live a lie, so I’m headed for the door. 

How do I get my heart to accept what my mind already knows?

Like they say I guess that’s the way love goes.

Now I wonder if love will ever come a knocking again? 

See word on the street, women are only going for 6’ & over in their men. 

Dayum I guess I lose out big time!
