A walking contradiction... What you see isn’t what you get. To get to know the essence you need to open the book and read. An enigma; giving, selfless, conceited, arrogant, loner, author, friend, confidant, trainer, model, actor, and life coach. It really depends on your relationship with him. To someone who doesn’t know him or decides to judge the book by the cover; he is viewed as conceited, arrogant or even mean. Which is the exact opposite of who he is. He’s more of a shy introvert around those he doesn’t know or isn’t comfortable with. Get below the quiet exterior and you’ll find a heart that, to know is to love. He tries to live his life literally walking in love. He would give the shirt off his back to help. Raised by his mother, with no role model on what a man should be. He set out to be different than what he saw in the community. Men who abandoned their responsibilities to pursue whatever tickled their fancy was the norm. These men didn’t care about the damage caused by their selfish actions. He thought the road would be easy, but alas, it proved him wrong. Society had changed dramatically in a short time. People seemed to perceive his love as a weakness. Or perhaps they had not come across a person, who accepts them for them. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop, they tried to manipulate a gift to their advantage. Left alone most of the time, he started to set his pain to print. Never intending for anyone to read it. However, God had a different plan in mind. He would use DC’s pain to show the women; that there are men out there, who do feel profoundly deeper than they think. To reach out to the masses that don’t know how to get others to understand what they are dealing with or have dealt with. He simply wanted to help people on a larger scale.

Questions

In a world gone astray… where is the love the knows no bounds?

I mean I get having a preference, but has it become the standard?

Would you rather be alone than be with someone who doesn’t fit every single point on your checklist?

Are you the equal to the person that you want?

If they got you as you are now… would they be settling?

Do you date for love & to make yourself happy?

Or do you date so that you friends approve of your choice?

If it’s the latter why don’t you date your friends?

Aren’t they who you truly want to be happy with your choice?

Are you strong enough to examine your heart & see if you’re lying to yourself?

What if?

What if we told each other exactly how we felt all the time?

What if we act like we knew love is stronger than hate!

What if, we really tried to be someone’s friend, before bed mates?

What if we talk to each other, instead of at each other?

What if I told you, I wanted to be more than just a friend?

Sign of the times

After nine months how did it come to this?

That I haven’t felt Ur touch or the warmth in your kiss.

A chance meeting, under circumstances outside our control.

We stand there talking and listening all the while flashback memories, have me in their hold.

Entranced at how feelings rush after time has elapsed.

I surmise true love can, and will bridge the gap.

You speak of future times of a desire to reacquaint and establish a broken connection.

You’re now with someone who is no concern of mine, especially if you’re the one.

Do you remember the cabin in the woods?  Talking by the light of the fire.

Looking at you, I knew there was not another I desired.

The times we spent together sharing our innermost thoughts.

If only they could see that is more precious than anything that can be bought.

Sometimes I miss you.

Sometimes I miss you.  I try not to, but we tried to rewrite the book of love.

Although we’re not together anymore.

What we shared was so intense; I wonder could we have sustained it over a lifetime.

Call me crazy at times, I still want what’s not mine.

It’s just sometimes I miss you.

More than I dare let you in on, more than I want to admit.  I desire to rewrite forever… a dream of divine intercession.

Expendable

Never give up on someone you can’t go a day without thinking about!

You might be forced to love them from a distance if they can’t or won’t see the value that you bring.  The pain is great & heart wrenching.  

To want to reach out to them… To have a conversation about nothing in particular… just to hear their voice on the other end.  

To feel their arms wrapped around you!

To feel that you “actually” matter to someone… anyone?

That if you died today someone would actually notice or even care??  Beyond the next favor they need from you.

Just a thought

When lights go out, and all is dark. 

I begin to wonder has someone new found the key to my heart? 

I lie awake challenging the silence of night, and I toss and turn while searching the depths of a second sight.

I just lie there, concentrating; droning in on the past. 

I cannot help but think how some things aren’t meant to last. 

I wade about the memories, and ride the river of pain, flowing through my soul. 

I think about all the stories I chose to leave untold. 

I think about the present, and what you mean to me? 

I blindly sustain the silence, hoping this darkness will help me to see.

Queen without a King?

This will more than likely be controversial, you will more than likely even hate it maybe even me.  But what it is not is me bashing or putting women down AT ALL.  I actually like & love woman.This is also directed at heterosexual woman who desire to be with a man.  I have nothing against lesbian women, gay men, transgenders or any other titles that are out there.

I believe live & let live.

That being said, let’s get into this. 😉

I’ve done online dating in some form for decades.  I recall when they were little ads in the newspapers. Lol  However after reading literally thousands of profiles of women, I noticed a trend.  Most women want a good man or so it seems.  But what constitutes a good man in the eyes of a woman??

As human beings we all have preferences for everything…. Dating is no different.  But I challenge to you think about this & ask yourself a brutally honest question.  Have my preferences become my standard?

Valentine’s Day 2107

Today in the states, it’s the day deemed to depress most of america… single or a couple.

Why??  Cause it’s Hallmark’s day to get you to spend money & express your love to you loved ones.  But as someone who’s never really bought into what “THEY” say!  Why do they say what i do or don’t do & how I actually should do it.

Have you ever noticed you never got to choose who they are?  I’ve never seen an election or was asked to be on their team.  Yet they have so much power to get people in trouble or make others feel horrible.

14 Feb… Valentine’s day.  Last time I checked there are 365 days in a year.  What about love the rest of the days of the year?  Does one get a free pass on those days long as V-day is remembered?  That, my friends would be a big, fat, juicy NO!!!
