The Match part 1

The dream that started it all…(me writing) foretold the demise of a relationship.  The relationship that made me want to get married.  Prior to this marriage was out of the question.

Time upon a once, there was a kid who lived in his own world.  No one ever bothered the kid because there were a lot of rumors that surrounded him.  That is until Elecktra came into his life.  She somehow found a way into his world, that no one else had ever found.  She said she loved him, always has and will and nothing will ever change that.  The kid, wanting to believe her, built a bridge between the two worlds so she would be able to travel between the two with ease.  As time went on the kid decided to travel back to her world to see if things had changed since he left.  Once there, he saw things hadn’t changed.  So he decided to return back to his world; but before he got back to his world he met some people that knew him, even though he didn’t know them.  They told him things about his beloved Elecktra that seemed unbelievable at the time.  So as the years went by, the bridge that was once so strong was now brittle and weak.

One day several years later when Elecktra was on her way to see the kid he met her in the middle of the bridge.  He told her he could no longer insure her safe passage across the bridge.  The time had come for her to make a choice: to return to her world and to whatever she had back there, or return back to his with him.  “Think hard princess for what you choose is for a lifetime.”  She said “Why should I choose?”  He replied “I do not want to see you get hurt crossing the bridge.”  Now she thought for a moment, looked at him and faced  her world…Before leaving then she turned and kissed him saying” I love you and I’m going to miss you!” She turned and walked off the bridge back to her world.  The kid walked back across the bridge  pulling a match out of his pocket, the one he thought he would never use.  He ignited the bridge and watched it burn; now no one else could cross the bridge.  And no one could get hurt.  As the last of the bridge burned out; the kid turned back to his world with a single blood tear running down his face, disappearing into a cloud of black smoke.  Never to be seen or heard from again.

A walking contradiction... What you see isn’t what you get. To get to know the essence you need to open the book and read. An enigma; giving, selfless, conceited, arrogant, loner, author, friend, confidant, trainer, model, actor, and life coach. It really depends on your relationship with him. To someone who doesn’t know him or decides to judge the book by the cover; he is viewed as conceited, arrogant or even mean. Which is the exact opposite of who he is. He’s more of a shy introvert around those he doesn’t know or isn’t comfortable with. Get below the quiet exterior and you’ll find a heart that, to know is to love. He tries to live his life literally walking in love. He would give the shirt off his back to help. Raised by his mother, with no role model on what a man should be. He set out to be different than what he saw in the community. Men who abandoned their responsibilities to pursue whatever tickled their fancy was the norm. These men didn’t care about the damage caused by their selfish actions. He thought the road would be easy, but alas, it proved him wrong. Society had changed dramatically in a short time. People seemed to perceive his love as a weakness. Or perhaps they had not come across a person, who accepts them for them. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop, they tried to manipulate a gift to their advantage. Left alone most of the time, he started to set his pain to print. Never intending for anyone to read it. However, God had a different plan in mind. He would use DC’s pain to show the women; that there are men out there, who do feel profoundly deeper than they think. To reach out to the masses that don’t know how to get others to understand what they are dealing with or have dealt with. He simply wanted to help people on a larger scale.
